The irony is that you and the violent extremist groups themselves are the ones in agreement about their identity with a religion. The rest of the informed world sees them for what they are: thugs, psychopaths, and criminals who are cloaking themselves in religion to justify an age old agenda that predates Islam - to subjugate others and impose their selfish agendas through violent means. You can take away the faux religious labels and people like this would still be engaged in the same sadistic activities. And by agreeing with the terrorists about their so-called religious identity you are both giving them more legitimacy than they deserve and insulting those who practice the real religion.
The true solution to this problem lies in exposing ISIS for what it is, not attacking the entire religion of Islam through mistaken and uninformed assumptions.
As I've said before ...this is very similar to the KKK in the south. The KKK was supposedly condemned by all, but many southerners were ready to give them a pass and certainly not willing to call out the KKK or openly march against them. Many Muslims that believe in Sharia law are OK with what ISIS is doing. That doesn't mean that these Muslims are going to take up arms themselves, but they are also not going to do anything to stop it. .......That's the crux of the problem. If all Muslims would condemn this ...then the recruiting would dry up and ISIS would be reduced to an irrelevant organization like the KKK......Talk is cheap ....I'm waiting for worldwide marches.
