The Rose Bowl site says you can take the Metro Rail Gold Line. It just takes like 2 hours to get there but $5 a head and minimal walking. I think there are some shuttles running from hotels around LAX, but I'll have to check into that more unless you have a better way to get there.

What part of town are you staying, near LAX? The Gold Line runs smoothly, I may do the same. I can pick up the redline from my neighborhood, then transfer to the gold line downtown. My house is normally like 15-20min from the Rose Bowl, I am also thinking of driving, if you want to meet, plenty of parking in my neighborhood.
probably only take 20min to drive to Rose Bowl, then like 1 hour to park.

Still up in the air about Sunday night, maybe join in on a sponsored party with Josh Hopkins, finding out details soon, which anybody can go if you let me know.

We have a rental car. I have some relatives out there we may try to see at some point. I just really didn't want to try and drive over there and spend forever and a fortune trying to park.

The Metro Station is at LAX. Maybe can take the hotel shuttle to airport for free and then catch the train. We'll figger that out later.

Yeah, still looking for the FedEx man to deliver those beautiful tickets......they charged my card so they better show up!! We are still looking for a single ticket for my TheatreSon who is flying out from NYC. He won't care where he sits because he missed going last time! So Holla if you hear of one! We are thinking of waiting until we get there also as everyone keep saying there will be tickets the day of the game. Of course, with 24 buses coming from Las Vegas and I am not sure how many of those folks have tickets~ they could be scarce.

We will have a rental car also but parking looks precarious. The lot opens 6 hours ahead and is only $25 but how long will it take to get out? Maybe park in Old Pasadenaand ride the shuttle. That's what a lot of UCLA fans do for their games. We may eat there also. They say it's a 1 1/2 miles of hard hilly walking from there but don't know how crowded the shuttles will be. We bought tail-gate tickets last time but decided it was a waste of time (and money)but it was run by the Fiesta Bowl folks and we know how unorganized they were. This one is run by the AU Alumni group. On the bonkers, someone is renting a Taco Truck for a tailgate ~ that also seems popular with the UCLA crowd. You can e-mail him if you are interested in participating. Tacos and beer provided.

MiniWEG wants to got to Disney Sunday but we may go the the pep rally. Last time it was free and you bought food...this time it costs to get in. I'm more worried about the bathrooms at the stadium. I understand folks missed whole quarters just waiting in line. Supposed to be renovated by now. I don't think I can hold it a whole game and I don't want to miss anything!

Are we going to have a meet up like last time so we can get a Fight Club picture? I doubt our old fearless leader would meet us peons!!

Guy who claims to be plugged in with the travel/ticket business over on The Bonker is strongly advising people to wait. He said the price has already come down more than he thought by this point and he would not be surprised if you can get them at the stadium for less than face. Said the FSU tix have not even hit the open market yet.

WEG, just tell him to go and get to the stadium. I bet he can find a single for face or less.

Or just do like my cousins did in AZ. Pay a stadium employee a few hundred $ to sneak you into the handicapped seating entrance.

I got my email a few minutes ago that my tickets were shipped today via Fedex. May arrive Saturday but no later than Monday. I have someone in my group that bought them from me.

Yes, just finally got my email that they had shipped!! Says it will be here by 8PM on Monday. I don't think they are paying for w/e delivery.

So at least I'm in like Flynn and it didn't cost and arm and a leg like last time!! Of course, the airlines are in cohoots this time by robbing our bank with few flights and deals!

Peeps looking for flights and hotels try booking through Hotwire for a package deal. We did some upgrades to hotel and flight but started out at about $850 per person today. Could have booked same thing and better flights a week ago for about $1000 total for two. Consider driving to larger cities from MGM or BHAM. We are driving to New Orleans and it saves big $. We'll spend $200 in gas and airport parking but still save $2-300 and a lot of travel time instead of leaving from Mobile.

You people must take baths in gold bullion and light cigars with $100 bills. I am dying to go but mercy. If it was just me, I could swing it but a family of four attending this thing will cost $8-10k. Ouch. Errybody in this family is gonna be watching this thing on the Telly, much to my chagrin. I need to tell my boss to start sending me overseas a few times a year to give me some miles so I can fly errybody for free.
