I have to do a bit of shameless marketing for my folks to you good people.
My parents are now renting their condo at Phoenix on the Bay in Orange Beach, AL. It is not quite ready for rental, but they are over there working on it this week and I'll be helping them get the VBRO.com entry up and running soon. You will eventually be able to book directly through VBRO.com, but for now, you need to contact my parents directly. It is at one of the nicest condos in Orange Beach. It is extremely kid friendly and the lazy river is crazy.
Phoenix On The Bay
It is 3 bedroom 3 full baths with a sleeper sofa in the living room. Sleeps 8 very easily. 4 Flat Screen TVs (60" in living room), free Wi-Fi, wet bar area, full kitchen with appliances and plenty more. 4th floor and covered parking on every level.
There is 24 hour security guards at front gate in the summer season.
I'll put you in touch with my folks if anyone is interested. They currently have nothing booked for this summer and this place fills up completely from Memorial Day to Labor Day. They are renting 7 nights Saturday check in, Saturday check out. They may do a 5 day depending on circumstance, but that is up to them. No promises.
I don't have any pics of the inside of the condo on my camera, but there will be plenty on the VRBO listing. Trust me. It's nice.

I took these on a cold cloudy day a few weeks ago.
That is the pass bridge entering the Gulf of Mexico. About two miles to left is the FloraBama. It is less than 10 minutes away from public beaches (there is a good one right by the bridge in the picture), Publix, Wal-Mart, The Wharf, and whatever kind of restaurant you want.
Two grill areas like this on either side of a very nice fish cleaning station (not pictured). There is also a small beach area my kids love to play at right down by the water.

Covered Parking on every level. Our condo is also the close to the 4th floor trash chute.

Meeting/Party room available for rent. We have had many family reunions here.
Two tennis courts. One on top of each parking deck.
Boat storage area. Private boat launch (nice one) and boat slips available for rent.
I'll be honest to you folks and let you know the downside. The place is absolutely covered up with corndogs of the lowest order for much of the summer. But so is all of Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. The other depends on how you look at it. Chizik owns a condo here. We have not sighted him since Father's Day 2011. His is on the same side as our unit 5th floor.
**We also have another property right down the street on the Intercoastal Waterway they are going to rent some. It is a double wide trailor with a pier. Not near as nice as the condo but his has it's own appeal and mucho privacy. They are currently rebuilding the entire pier.
