Hopefully our players' reading comprehension is on the same level as yours, badly1. But from the context, Gurley clarifies that by saying "the same defense", he means the same players. If he thinks it's the same scheme, then he needs to go back to peewee football 101... and we should feel sorry for him and his lack of intelligence.

His point is that they've had success on these players before, so they plan on having success on them again, regardless of Auburn's record, ranking, and position as the favorite. I would approve of the same sort of attitude from Auburn players in the same position, though I would prefer they word it more eloquently so that people don't turn it into a slap in the face.

You choose to be all "oh, he clarified his statement, it's all good, Kumbayaaaaaa errybody" and I choose I be all "oh no he Di 'unt, let's go kick somebody in the backside now!"

When I was just a wee lass, there was a product called "Macon Bacon" (if I'm remembering right). We saw the ads on Columbus stations. Two good ole boy geezers promoted it on TV. Don't know about the bacon, but the ads were turrible. Always ended "it never burns" pronounced, "it nevah buhns."

They usually pick every big game. Last week they were at LSU/Bama and it wasn't even on their network.

In addition to Lou holtsth, herb street just singled AU and Stanford as the ones who are most vulnerable. His angle for AU was simply that all this talk of the iron bowl could have AU looking forward and not taking GA seriously. That's certainly true. I think this team knows they aren't gonna win a game without max effort. That's something that hasn't been an issue this year. I don't know if herbsteit has said UGA will win though, so I'm holding off on assembling the crowd to march on espn for now, but torches are being gathered and there is a lot of angst in the crowd.

I guess they have to have some brilliant "insight" to share with the ignorant masses. But that's malarkey. thUGA has dominated the series, particularly the last two years, and ALL the Auburn players know it. The coaching staff is not going to let them forget it and thUGA is too good a team for them to overlook.

Another thing is all the Georgia players that are on the Auburn roster. So, this game is going to be very meaningful for them. I think I heard that thUGA has just one player on their roster from Alabama.

If we lose, it's not because we overlooked this game. It's because ... wait, we aren't going to lose!!!! We're going to stomp their sorry canine butts!!!
